 Benefits of Mindfulness

(12 minutes )       60 Minutes – Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction
Mindfulness practices allow us to cultivate a deeper awareness of what is occurring within us and around us.  It also allows us to improve our ability to focus attention and sustain concentration.  The practices enable us to live more fully in the present moment without being distracted.  As we become better able to pay attention to our thought patterns and our actions and the subsequent results, we may gain insight into more effective ways of living.  The practices also allow us to be less at the mercy of our thoughts and feelings, allowing us the space to make more conscious choices.
